NOROI distillery has received a worthy tribute from New York International Spirits Competition by winning 3 prizes such as the best Canadian distillery (gin category) for 2021. Moreover, a double-gold medal has been won for its new maple gin, and a silver medal for a spirit that will be announced on fall 2021.
A SECOND WINNING COMPETITION
It is the second winning competition for Saint-Hyacinthe’s distillery in 2021! In fact, the maple gin that was previously launched in February won a bronze medal at the International Spirits Challenge 2021. Also launched in February, the alcohol-free rum, Esprit-des-Caraïbes, won a silver medal, and the alcohol-free gin, Esprit-de-London, won a bronze medal.
« I am very proud to receive those fantastic prizes today. We have launched the distillery only two years ago, with the main objective of making Quebec shine internationally. It is extremely gratifying to see our efforts rewarded. » – Jonathan Robin, founding president of NOROI Distillery.
THE IMPORTANCE OF INTERNATIONAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
NOROI Distillery thinks big! Their objective is to develop foreign markets over the next few years. To achieve this project, they will put forward the expertise and the quality of their products.
« It is necessary to have an international positive reaction for Quebec products. Winning a prize is a success for NOROI and also for every distillery across Quebec. » explains Jonathan Robin.
In fact, Quebec spirits are more and more in demand abroad. Especially when local flavours are offered. For instance, NOROI’s maple gin is the first Quebec gin that is 100% made with Quebec maple syrup, making it extremely attracting for foreign markets. The competition medals won in 2021 can confirm the spirits’ quality and make an unequivocal selling point.
